Received call a few days later from a rude and insulted rep. who chastised me for returning without authorizarion. The policy is no returns on coffee. Refused me a credit or even in-house credit. No need for a detailed review, these beans make great espresso. I have a Gaggia Classic espresso maker and a Krups burr grinder to grind the beans, and this trio (Lavazza Super Crema Beans + machine + grinder) makes fantastic espresso every time. The crema is perfect, there is not the slightest hint of bitterness. My only warning about these beans is that if you own an espresso maker at home, you should be real careful buying these beans as you may find yourself going crazy making espressos. These beans consistently make an espresso that is as good or better than anything I've found commercially in the US (and I'm not going to rant about the coffee beverage that Starbucks sells as espresso and puts in a paper cup). This bag of espresso beans is definitely more expensive than what you can find in the grocery store (or elsewhere), but this is a case of you get what you pay for. If you like espresso, this is money well spent.

Being a long time consumer of Lavazza Creama E Gusto which I find most enjoyable, I thought I'd give Super Creama a try.Very disapointing on flavor and fullness. For a latte I find it necessary to double the quantity in the basket and cut the milk by 80-90% so instead of a 10 oz

double, it's a single shot expresso with a dash of milk. The bean is a medium brown in color that is reflected in it's charater. Back to "Creama E Gusto"

I own an Illy x6 and it came with a sampler of illy ese pods. When those ran out I researched online and ordered these pods. First of all the pod is not tightly packed and has a looseness which makes the fit in the holder improper. As a result sometimes the illy machine keeps on going and overflows the normal quantity which an espresso cup would hold.



Secondly the flavor body and aroma are diffuse and not good for espresso. If you are making a cappuccino you will likely not taste much difference. I do not recommend Lavazza for espresso on an illy machine.

Love these Lavazza pods. Good crema , mellow chocolate taste. Brand new Gaggia classic being used for espresso. I have found that tamping the pod and slightly wetting makes a great pull with wonderful results. Repeated attempts with grinding my own beans have not come close to ease, simplicity and taste of these ESE pods.

In perspective, I usually grind my espresso beans (Brazil Sweet Blue is my favorite) immediately before brewing and I always buy beans that have been roasted no more than 1 week ago. This obviously skew my taste toward fresh product and these pods are definitely not that. Convenient, though.

I've ordered this deal several times now and have not been disappointed yet. I have received a few empties in a couple of shipments but the shipper always delivers what is ordered and usually tosses a couple extras in there to make up for any duds.

I use the Handpresso maker at work and these pods work really well.

First of all it is loosely packed. When I first used the product, water came out first before I could see any coffee and that is entirely on the packing. To me the chocolate like taste is not for me. It tempers with the way I like my coffee to taste. Bottom-line it is not nearly as good as Starbucks. Had I rated this product the first week I tried it, I would have given it one star. But now since it has been a while I am a little more forgiving. It is cheaper than most pods to begin with. Pressing on the pod helps the loose packing problem. Since I drink at least 3 cups a day, I have chosen to make one Starbucks and then do the rest with this to save some. But if you ask me to entirely switch to this product, I wouldn't even think about it. However I would suggest the before you get 150 pack, first try the lesser package. At first I felt trapped with 150 pods that I hated until I compromised and coped. If you're not looking to save, look away. But if you want to save, after a while it is not too bad.

Lavazza is one of the better espresso coffees from Italy. It's consistently high quality, with a smooth taste, and a nice crema. I've purchased other coffee from this seller, and the shipping is quick and very secure. You can't beat the price at around 30 cents per pod. I highly recommend this coffee and the seller on Ebay who offers it for such a reasonable price.

You can feel that the pods are too loosely packed when you have it in your hand. I tried to make the shortest shot my machine allows, but it overflowed my shot glass! In the end the coffee was weak tasting. I am not happy with this purchase and I will try to return it.

I tried this coffee on a recommendation from a friend and I am very pleasantly suprised.

It is smooth and aromatic, great flavor and nicely roasted. The grind is very fine so you don't need to use as much as other coffees. It comes in space saving bricks for easy storage and is vacuum sealed. I had mine around for a few weeks before opening and was fresh.

If you like good coffee, gotta give this a try.

We expected this coffee to brew up with a nice, creamy surface, but no such luck. It does make authentic espresso and cappucino, however, and has good flavor, aroma, and body.
