The item is as described by the opinions of the other reviewers. A more major issue is that Amazon ships it via the US Postal Service which can take (an already shelved product) 3 -7 days to arrive. Hey, this is coffee, and it only has a limited life to live. Taking into account that it's a large bag for home use we still must keep it allive for a few more weeks till were done with it. It's been 5 days since they shipped it, but I still don't have it and now I wonder how old it will become when it finally arrives. Amazon needs to use an alternate shipping methode

It is a really good coffee for the money, but it is lightly roasted for espresso. The aroma is really nice, but has little flavour and body. That is why I am giving only three stars for a coffee that is actually good, because it is not the best for espresso by far, do not try cappuccino or even macchiato. Also the Super Crema name might be misleading, the amount of crema is just about the same than other brands. This is not a problem since you do not really need an ultra thick layer of crema, it makes a fair amount of crema just like any other fine beans.

I really like Lavazza coffees in general. Recently I tried the Super Crema since the reviews were really strong.



The taste of this espresso is very much as described. It is robust in flavor with a bit of a sweet taste and is very smooth, not bitter at all. It works especially well with Lattes. Can't say that I notice an extraordinary crema, but does make a notable amount of crema.



Overall, again, Lavazza Super Crema demonstrated to me that it is worthy of my previous assessment of the Lavazza brand in general that it represents the best in class of espressos. Super Crema is distinctly different from Oro and Blue, and like the others is smooth.

I initially bought this coffee to use for cappuccino/espresso, however, it is just great as a regular cup of coffee! Very smooth taste, low acidity, overall nice medium balance, not too heavy and not too light. I really like the 2.2 LB bag size, as my husband and I go through coffee like it's water. Will most likely be purchasing more of this one from Amazon.com. I'm looking forward to making my first cup of cappuccino and espresso with this brand. I just got the package. First of all, the price is excellent comparing with local food stores. I would say an easy 20-30% saving and you don't have to drive to a store. I quickly made two shots with my Delonghi full automatic. Everything is great. The only thing is that I can use a bit stronger taste - just a little bit more. Nothing compares to illy but based on value, this is a very good compromise. From Italy, so not like your "over ripe" american roasts. Subtle and slightly sour so you'll have to play around like everything else with the grind and the proportions.

Definitely a good buy especially if you sign up for the 15% discount for regular shipments.

Don't know if I'll use it all up in a month but that's what's the freezer is for.

Using a cuisinart burr grinder and a keurig k-cup machine for daily coffee. Seems to work best on fine grind, with a little packing in the cup. Middle cup size because small makes it a bit too sour for me. No bitterness or burnt taste.

Using a Krups pump espresso maker for espresso. Perfection.

The only other coffee that I've tasted that might be better is Illy's whole bean medium roast, but it's considerably more expensive. Lavazza Super Crema is very good coffee at a reasonable price.

I'm amazed, at its price point, that anyone would criticize this bean. I notice one review that criticizes it, but then describes the reviewer as "(I mean I'm not a novice for espresso) i own a semi-automatic espresso machine (DeLongi BAR32 before and now Saeco Aroma, Breville BCG450XL Conical Burr Grinder) about 5 years" ... well wait ... he owns an $80 Delongi upgraded to a $250 Saeco, and a $90 grinder ... yuch! You cannot get a setup that will do these beans justice for under $2000 (my setup is bare bones with a $2000 Quickmill Anita with PID and filtered plumbin; and a $700 Mazzer Mini ... all cleaned and adjusted obsessively).



OK, if I had all the money in the world, I'd always get Black Cat from Intelligensia (the best bean in the world), but it is twice to three times the price of Lavazza.

I'm a long time consumer of lavazza, however this was the first time i purchased whole beans. I got the whole beans in aim of getting a fresher coffee, this one was described as vacuumed packed and just for $19.09. Unfortunately it was not vacuum packed like I have expected.

these beans produced the thickest crema i've seen on my superauto but the coffee has a sour / acidic finish which i do not like. i wish someone would had mention it.
